Like any other readers, I too, have too many physical books left unread on the bookshelf. So this year, I hope to pick up these books and read them, instead of downloading more e-books and read them through my kindle. Some books have been on that shelf for YEARS, so it's time I really give them a chance. The books I really do want to pick up from my paperbacks pile would be;
The Mars & Venus series - I have all 5 books in my possession. I have read halfway of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. I really liked it. It was my introduction to psychology and/or biology-related self-help book. I was only 20/21 year-old when I picked up this book at the library in Uni and I was mind blown. In my head I thought "This makes so much sense!" I understand why some people are addicted to reading self-help books because it really did opened my mind.
For e-Books;
More Kristin Hannah books - I loved The Nightingale despite it being quite a long read for me. It took me quite a while to finish the book but the book finished me too. It was beautifully written and I knew KH is very very loved my many. In fact, I loved the Netflix series adapted from her book - Firefly Lane. I will definitely read more of her books this year.
Lily King's Heart The Lover and Writers & Lovers - These are 2 books that are very overhyped on BookTok. I hope it's not too frivolous or draggy because I have high hopes for Lily King. I am on the hunt to find another author to love, so I am hoping I would love her and her works!
In total, these list already have about 11 books already. I will not put any numerical book goals this year, I just want to enjoy however many or few I am able to complete by the end of the year, and maybe you will read about it in here when I review them!
