#TGIF: Congratulations, you made it here

Where did I last leave you at?

It has been a while since my last post. I skipped October entirely, and it was not without reason. Truthfully, for the most part, I was not inspired at all. I did not even attempt to write. I didn't go to my Notes app, nor did I pen down anything on paper. At least, not anything of substance.

I was just not in the headspace to write. I think it was also because I had been abandoning reading, too. There is definitely a correlation between the two for me. But not only that, I also had to take some time to adjust to my new schedule, hehe.

If you follow me on my socials, you'd already know by now that I went back to school. I finally pulled the trigger and thought 2026 was the year I should take that step. I started my Master's degree and began my semester in early October. Which was why I had no headspace for anything else. I was so occupied and had such a hard time adjusting that even my body was in shock.

My cycle became SO short, and that's a huge telling sign for me that my hormones have been all over the place and my body is still adapting. A lot of people have done it, working and studying at the same time, so I don't think it's crazy at all. It has also been one of my goals for a while. I have thought about getting my Master's degree since I graduated with my Bachelor's, basically, but it never felt like a good time. Not until now.

It was surely a decision I was too scared to make, but I am here now, accepted into a university I never considered going to in the first place. But that's how life really is. It takes you to places you never thought you'd go and makes you experience things you never thought you'd go through.

In addition to that, work has been really heavy too. "With great power comes great responsibility" — Spider-Man, and I fully resonate with that. I am now fully responsible for operating on my own, having to row my boat all alone, without much guidance anymore. Definitely feeling the heightened expectations, and it's Q4... anyone in e-commerce would know that it's the craziest time of the year, and taking on a new endeavour during this period would be challenging.

Dare I say, it has been challenging on the daily. Most days, I go back home and don't speak a word about work to anyone because I leave work matters in the office once I clock out, making headspace for anything else but work. To add to that, I have four days of classes every week, all on weekdays, switching from work brain to studying brain. Sometimes, I even have to switch back to work brain after coming home whenever needed. It's exhausting.

Some days, I feel like complaining and whining, but then again, this is exactly the journey that I prayed for and what I wanted. God is granting my prayers one by one, and it's on me to make the best of it. Is it tiring? Very much. But I know it will be so worth it in the end.

This is not a Friday, but I will post this anyway because it's the only time I can steal some time for writing. Who knows when the next post will be? As much as I want to stick to the Friday schedule, I don't have the capacity to honour my own plans right now, but I hope to pop in here from time to time. Until then :)
